Beyond Mindfulness: Monthly Meditations with Dustin DiPerna

Meditation is not just about being more calm or more mindful. Meditation, in its fullest and most fundamental expression, is about Waking Up.

Many of us in the integral community are interested in Waking Up. Unfortunately, along the way, few of us have ever been told how to make Waking Up a reality in our own direct experience. We’re hosting these meditations so that the larger community of practitioners in the Bay Area can develop a better understanding of what we mean by phrases like spiritual realization, self-recognition, and spiritual awakening. According to both the traditions themselves and the offerings of contemporary spiritual teachers, these terms mean something very specific. Saints and Sages of the past have proclaimed that each and every one of us has the innate potential to recognize the Ultimate Nature of Reality-Itself. Reality Itself is Undivided Wholeness, unobstructed by conceptual limitations of time, space or separation. Reality-Itself is effulgent radiance, expressing itself in each and every moment as an invitation from the kosmos to step deeper into love.

Not only is it possible to have glimpses of the true essence of Reality, it is also possible to make such a recognition a stable part of our direct experience from moment to moment.

These meditation sessions are for all levels of practice. If you find your self curious about taking spiritual awakening to an even deeper level of practice in your life, please join us. Each evening will consist of a short lecture, two 20 minute meditations, and plenty of time for questions and answers. If you already have come to know the essence of Reality in your own direct experience and want support in making the recognition a persistent aspect of your life, please join. And if you already have a stable sense of what it means to live an Awakened, blended life, from moment to moment, please come to support others. Join Dustin as he offers a beautiful synthesis of ancient and modern orientations to meditative practice.
